Thanks for re-starting the blog Master Lieb. I think we should have a book discussion and discuss mascot selection at da beach in August. We will have to skype!
I also like the new blog post. I feel like we were almost there with our mascot many moons ago, but walked away without one. We should have one soon, for sure. I know I'm still the guy holding everything up. And now I believe we will not be around when you guys are at the beach. I guess, is there any time that the four of you guys are going to be together besides the beach? I don't know how much of the parchment you've read, but (and I'm really just thinking out loud), we could, say, just save my book for Christmas, a time when I'll definitely be around, rather than have the book leader Skyped for his session. I know I'm still the monkey wrench, and honestly, for the betterment of the book club, it may be necessary to meet at a time when I am not in town. The last thing I want to happen is the book club to fail on my account. Granted this has been a crazy year for everyone's schedule, so hopefully it will get slightly easier down the road (for instance I would think we'll be home every summer/Christmas for a good bit at least) from now on, but in the meantime, it's just a bit hairy. Also, we discussed yesterday that theoretically, Kathleen and I could be transplanted somewhere near to home in as few as three years. So we can do this thing, but please, let's not let it grown stagnant on my account. I know that was jumbled, but it was very stream-of-consciousness. Talk to you all soon,
Gents, glad to see some banter going here and my apologies for only chiming in so late. Stagnate is certainly the word for this club right now and Lieb I truly appreciate your effort to get it going. However, your photo of the artichoke may actually cause conversation to stagnate even more since, after all, why look any further?
Speaking of Mascots, the Snake is now in the hands of the one that shall burn it in October...I hope it didn't pose any trouble as you went through airport security. But let's be honest it needed to happen.

So does anyone have suggestions/preferences on a meeting date?
